Tue. May 27th, 2008 | Tom Walker Lucas,
Great to talk with you Saturday evening at Los Compadres - & great music too.
The Geoff Keezer/Joe Locke CD I was telling you about is:
live in seattle - recorded November 2005, with Mike Pope on basses & Terron Gully on drums. Fine album - 3 tunes each from Keezer & Locke, & a nice version of "Native Son" by James Taylor, from his New Moon Shine album.
Hope to see you with your band in July.
Ciao,
Tom

Bro.... From one tenor sax player to the next you are a freakin Beast, but I digress. I play sax in ensamble in Illinois called YJED, and we are goin to this hella big contest called Essentially Ellington. I am super stoked, but I am looking for a better sound from my sax. I was just wondering what set-up you use. I just check out a video of you jaming with a combo on youtube, and that the type of sound I really want to produce. So if you help me out a little it would be really cool of you. Keep jazzin it up man.

Tue. March 4th, 2008 | Jay Allen Hi Lucas,
You don't know me, but you and my son David share a common musical influence. David is the lead trombone player in Young Sounds of Arizona this year after playing bass trombone in the 7:00 PM band last year and bass bone in the 5:00 PM band the year before. David and I will be in New York and Boston visiting schools beginning next Wednesday. We'll have time on the evening of Tuesday, March 18 to listen to some music. Can you recommend a place where we can take in some of what New York has to offer?
I can provide additonal contact information in an e-mail to me at azallens@cox.net.
My best wishes,
Jay Allen
